Just a quick note:  I'll be participating in a workshop on Biblical Storytelling at Northland's annual conference -- 26 April  -- on David and Bathsheba:

"After brief introductory comments on the story, four different experienced tellers will tell their versions of the classic Biblical story of David and Bathsheba -- a story with compelling contemporary themes.  There will be time left for audience interaction with the panel of tellers about why they chose their approach and issues in developing the story in their way"
How will I approach the well-known tale? ... you'll have to attend to find out.  And at $160 for the complete weekend <!>, it's more than worth it.

Tellabrations, festivals, libraries and school and church programs ... I've told in classrooms and parks, by bonfires and by lakeside, in basements, gazebos, sanctuaries .... coffeehouses through birthday parties ... .  I told, non-stop, for three and 1/2 hours, and I was hired to tell for an hour, and told one story ... before the mayor showed up to make a speech and judge the kids' Halloween costume parade ... award awards ... and dismiss the children ... .

I told stories as a werewolf, a vampire ... and the apostle Peter ... and old Piotr, a Russian woodcutter.  I shared the stage with a Mariache Band!  And a folksinger, or three.
I organized, and hosted, the Storytelling tent for the Warrenville Folk Festival -- found the tellers, scheduled them ... filled in for them when they didn't show up ... or was that the Warrenville Olde Tyme Storytelling Festival I did that for?  That was fun.  I helped put together Mokena's Story Folk Festival.  And Celeste and I held sway over the children's tent at the Fox Valley Folk and Storytelling -- you get the idea ... we been busy ... .
As Happy Feet, we've helped coordinate the  children's programming for Folklore Village's annual Christmas holiday program, in Dodgeville WI ... and Lloyd Shaw's Cumberland Dance Camp in Jabez KY --
